RECRUITMENT OPEN POSITIONS
=====================

WLK expansion has arrived! We are all (or almost all) al lvl80 now. 25-man raiding started, and we already cleared Naxx 25-man after about 3 weeks from release and Malygos a week later, so for now all of WLK is cleared for us. Smiling But WLK raiding is going to be more like a marathon than a sprint which is happening now - as Blizzard will certainly learn from a mistake of too easy T7 zone content, and new instances that are soon to come will be much more challenging.

For the WLK expansion we will run actually two teams: so called Progress team and Normal team. Both teams will raid the same zones, however Progress is 25-man raiding with a strict requirements on maintaining high attendance of 75%+ and high quality of raiding gear/skills/motivation/commitment; Normal team will be a 10-man raiding for those who are unable to commit to 75%+ attendance, however we will expect similar level of quality and commitment in terms of remaining characteristics. Ocasionally Progress raiders will be put onto 10-man runs, and Normal raiders given an opportunity to join 25-man version, so that teams help each other and experience all of the WLK content - after all we are part of the same family, Vigilantes! Smiling

At this moment our regular raiding started, both Progress and Normal teams are defined. We do have however the following positions open for new members:

* Progress Team: Boomkin Druid and Shadow Priest
* Normal Team: one experienced healer (of any class), and one experienced tank (ideally DK or Pala)

ABOUT US
=======

Vigilantes we are a one of oldest guilds on Doomhammer, with good raiding progress in TBC of MH 5/5, BT 9/9, we also downed 1st boss in Sunwell before ver 3.0 nerf and after the patch killed up to Twins, so we are 4/6 Sunwell guild. If you applying for WLK raiding, you are expected to have a good track record of raiding dedication in the past, similar to our own or better.

We run main 25-man raids 4 times per week and 4 times per week only (Thur, Sund, Mond & Tues, 20:15- 23:30 on weekdays, 20:00-24:00 on Sunday, weekday raids can be extended until 24:00 at times). As a Progress raider you will be expected to attend minimum 3 raids per week (75% attendance requirement), but preference will be given to those who are able and willing to commit to 4 raids per week in a normal week. This rule is in place if you want to be part of so called Progress Team (25-man raids). But for WLK we will also have a Normal Raiding team (10-man raids to the same destinations as 25-man), where requirements for attendance % are bit more relaxed, however no relaxation on the raiding experience/commitment/preparation. On top of so called "mandatory raids" (Thur, Sund, Mond, Tues) we will also organize optional/fun 10-man runs (usually Wednesday and Friday/Saturday depending on reset). As you see from these characteristics Vigilantes we are right in between hard-core raiding guilds, where they raid 25-man instances 5-7 days per week with fast progress, and casual raiding guilds with 1-3 raids per week with slow progress.

We raid "only" 4 days per week, BUT, we take these 4 days really seriously, requiring all members to be fully prepared in terms of tactics (Vigi-strategies posted on forum, watching videos as a must), consumables (flasks/pots, food, weapon oils), and overall discipline (being on time for raids, giving 100% attention to every trash and boss pull, rewarding well prepared and top performing people). We also have a set of comprehensive Raid Rules supporting our fast progress. Joining us is your chance to see all of the content Blizzard prepared for us, but at the same time keep some life-game balance. (Note that some of Vigis, including myself, fail at this completely playing 6-7 days per week, signing up to all 25- and 10-man raids, and you are more than welcome to join that team Sticking out tongue.)

This approach seems to work well for us, as we manage progress quite good, and are really proud of our achievements so far (5th best Alliance guild on Doomhammer), especially that it all comes together with great friendly social side of the Vigilantes, where you can count on a lot of good laugh in /g chat or help shall you need it for a quest or an instance run Smiling

Before making an application please take a few minutes to read through our Guild Rules and our Raid Rules first. It is critical that you understand it and accept as your own when you are a member, as we have no intention to relax approach to raiding, we want to be one of the top raiding guilds on the Doomhammer, ideally in Top 5.

  • Closing remarks: Vigilantes we are raiding guild. We have great ambitions to progress fast in WLK expansion, as we believe this is how the game is made more fun and more rewarding. Raiding is a commitment. It is a commitment you make to other ~35 people/raiders that you will be there with, dedicating your time, working hard on the progress when needed, being on time for raids, being prepared. If you are not sure about making such commitment to 4-days per week raiding guild, please do not apply for a raider spot. Choose more casual guild. Or apply for a casual spot at Vigilantes. We also care a lot about the nice and friendly atmosphere in guild, guild-chat, on forums (we do not allow any dirty language more than once in a blue moon). We do not allow trouble-makers or drama-people to stay too long, therefore if you easily fall into conflicts with people, get easily loud and angry about things, than also do not apply please, as you will not pass your trial with such attitude. But if you are a dedicated raider, eager to raid a lot and progress in the WLK expansion, a nice and friendly person towards other, than Vigilantes we are the place for you Smiling

Thank you for taking your time to apply to us. I will look at your application asap and come back to you promptly. Please also do not hesitate to /w me (Shandril) in-game any time you see me around (I would appreciate not during a raid though - I am sure you remember "giving 100% attention" I mentioned Smiling).
